To celebrate being awarded Veuve Clicquot's Business Woman Award 2012, Anya visited the maison Veuve Clicquot in Champagne this week. Hosted by Count Edouard de Nazelle - a direct descendant of Count Edouard Werle, a close business associate of Madame Clicquot - Anya was invited to 'baptise' the champagne vine now named in her honour with a glass of the house's finest.

Created in 1972 as a tribute to Madame Clicquot, the annual Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award champions the success of business women worldwide who share the same qualities as Madame Clicquot:  an enterprising spirit, courage and an uncompromising quest for quality.  The first international award created specifically to recognise the contribution that women have made to business, it is now regarded as the Oscars for female entrepreneurs.
